Where2guv was a UK based post-code to post-code taxi booking service that takes inquiries from individuals and organisations and then brokered them through taxi companies across the country.

The person wishing to order a taxi entered their trip information into a simple form on the home page giving their starting location, destination, date etc and the system then calculated the mileage and the price from agreed tariffs and offers this to registered taxi companies in the appropriate area who are able to accept bookings from the secure access to the site. Staff monitor bookings that are not being accepted and contact existing and new taxi operators in the area to ensure that all bookings are accepted.

Taxi companies could sign up, were checked out and could then use the system. They were provided with details of all requests in their area and could accept with a single click. Taxi companies can also see how much money was owed to them and when it would be paid.

For corporate users the system allowed all taxi bookings for their staff to be made through one system.

Additionally, they ran shared shuttle services in some locations, and could provide coaches for larger groups and offered airport transfers at airports across Europe.

These services are now used by Holiday Taxis, which bought Where2guv.

Where2guv was started in 2003. In 2007 Where2guv was bought by Holiday Taxis, and has since been absorbed into Holiday Taxis' services. [1]
