Urban Repair Squad was created when cycle enthusiasts and activist got fed up with the lack of government action towards providing cycle facilities and signs. Their aim is to go out and through direct action create needed cycle lanes and signs on roads and public areas. The Urban Repair Squad blog documents this activity and that of activists pursuing similar action from around the world.
History
The Urban Repair Squad was started in Toronto, Canada in 2005 and activities have continued to this day. A number of other groups have since set up around the world using this name.
