Piece by piece is a Guardian site that brings together campaigns against land developments and shows their current status and recent activities.

Piece by Piece is endorsed by the current Conservative environment secretary, Caroline Spelman. It was devised to help protect Britain's natural environment and biodiversity, and especially to show the number of "small" developments which take place. [1] [2]

Piece by piece's website was opened in July 2010, and currently has a total of 52 conservations campaigns. [3]

The piece by piece project has stirred some criticism from Guardian readers who claim that it will keep the homeless homeless and ensure that house prices continue to rise. [4]
