OpenStreetBugs is a feedback system for members of the public and mappers to comments in errors and omissions in OpenStreetMap data.
An online service allowing people to pan and zoom openstreetmap data and then add a 'ticket' at a particular point. Others can then add comments to the ticket or close it.
Started in France in June 2008 as a separate project from OpenStreetMap by people wanting to make it easier to report problems with OpenStreetMap data without fixing it oneself. Discussions in July 2008 about integrating the functionality into the main OpenStreetMap project website.
This project makes is easier and less intimidating for people to comment on data issues in OpenStreetMap without learning how to actually change the data. The project might also be useful to commercial mapping companies as an example of an approach when engaging with the community to help them improve their datasets.
