The OffMaps application available in the IPhone App Store.

OffMaps is an IPhone application that allows users to download and store OpenStreetMap data so that maps can be viewed even when offline.

Contents

Product

OffMaps allows users to download an area of OpenStreetMap data, onto their iPhone or iPad, to browse and search when offline. Two areas are able to be downloaded for free, with there being a charge for each further data area. The map data is updated roughly every two weeks. It includes the 200 most visited wikipedia articles within the downloaded area, which are geotagged and viewable on the map.

The user can choose the rendering style, and view layers (such as public transport) on top of the map data.

History

OffMaps is developed by Felix Lamouroux of Curlybrackets.de and was launched in 2009.
