The principle aims of the New York City Streets Renaissance are to educate New York citizens about potential transportation policy changes that will improve quality of life across New York City. To promote a rebalancing of roadway public space away from private vehicles and toward community needs and to demonstrate the widespread public support for reform on these issues.
History
New York Streets Renaissance is a coalition of community groups, officials, business leaders, and citizens from New York. It was founded by Project for Public Spaces, Transportation Alternatives and the Open Planning Project.
