Nationwide Taxi Link

From IdeasInTransit
Jump to: navigation, search

Taxi Link operated from 2004 until March 2007 with the aim of finding return passengers for taxi drivers to reduce the amount of dead mileage.[1]

Taxi Link provided a web site, based on the software used by Courier exchange where taxi drivers can enter information about empty airport and long distance return journeys and can match up with others who have a potential paying client. Reducing dead-mileage would reduce congestion on the roads and increase the efficiency of long distance taxi work.

The Nationwide Taxi Link project ended in 2007.
