City Car Club is a car club that operates in seven UK cities.

City Car Club has over 350 cars spread throughout seven cities including London, Bristol and Edinburgh. Members pay an annual membership fee and are able to drive any car on a pay-as-you-go basis.

City Car Club offers a number of different car types at different rental costs including bio diesel and petrol/electric hybrid cars. Members can book a car for as little as half an hour, a day, or longer with insurance included and a 50 miles per 24 hours free fuel allowance. Cars can be booked online, by phone or via the onboard computer inside a car. Access to cars is by electronic key card and fuel is bought via a fuel card.

City Car Club launched in 2000. A survey in 2006 of over 750 of its members revealed that 17% of members had reduced the number of cars owned since joining and 41% said they would have bought a new car if they hadn't joined.[1]
