Two PhD studentships have been awarded and will be undertaken within the project from October 2008 onwards. They have the following initial titles:

• "from slow slog to inspired indulgence: enriching the experience of travel by public transport"; and
• "reducing the travel 'footprint' of music and sports events using user-centred design approaches".
